1st World Championship

IUYF

IUYF 1st World Championship will be selected in male as well as in female category. Best two from each group (i.e. sub junior, junior and senior boys and girls) will be taken on the basis of their performance in athletic Yoga. They will be given 5 Asanas of Judges choice to perform and two voluntary Asanas of their choice. On this basis one best champion will be selected in male as well as in female category. Special award will be given to both the champions.  They will also be sent to foreign country to represent Indian Yoga delegation.

EVALUATION

For each competition there will be 1 Superior Judge, 4 judges, 1 Time Keeper, 2 Scorer and 1 Referee to conduct the competition and evaluate the performance

Age Category Guidelines

Birth Month Determination

Participants born after June will be moved to the next age category. This ensures fair competition by grouping participants with similar physical development.

Practical Example

A 9-year-old competitor born in July will compete in the 10-year-old category, while a 9-year-old born in May will remain in the 9-year-old category.

Documentation Required

All participants must provide birth certificates or government-issued ID to verify age category placement. Documents should be submitted during registration.

Age categories are strictly enforced to maintain competitive integrity. Please ensure you register in the correct category to avoid disqualification.

Day 1: Cultural Immersion

Our championship journey begins with a day dedicated to yoga's rich cultural heritage and therapeutic applications. Immerse yourself in the traditions that have made yoga a transformative global practice while connecting with practitioners from across the world.

Opening Ceremony

Experience the grandeur of our official welcome featuring traditional Indian dance performances, ceremonial lighting of the flame, and addresses from yoga dignitaries. The vibrant cultural showcase will feature performances representing yoga traditions from around the world.

Yoga Therapy Sessions

Discover the therapeutic applications of yoga through specialized sessions addressing chronic pain, stress management, and rehabilitation. Master practitioners will demonstrate how specific asanas and breathing techniques target common ailments.

The first day establishes the spiritual foundation of our championship, reminding participants that competitive yoga remains deeply rooted in cultural tradition and holistic wellness. Attendees will receive a special commemorative journal to document their three-day journey.

Day 2: Traditional yogasana championship

The second day marks the beginning of our competitive events, where athletes will demonstrate extraordinary physical mastery, precision, and concentration across multiple categories. Competitors have trained for years to reach this pinnacle of achievement.

Morning Session

Sports Yoga preliminary rounds will showcase athletes performing standardized sequences judged on precision, balance, strength, and flexibility. Competitors must maintain perfect form while demonstrating controlled breathing and mental focus throughout their routines.

Afternoon Session

Adult categories (ages 18-54) will execute advanced Syllabus Asanas featuring increased difficulty elements. Judges will evaluate competitors on execution perfection, hold duration, transition smoothness, and overall presentation quality. Many participants have competed internationally in previous championships.

Midday Session

Junior categories (ages 8-17) will perform Syllabus Asanas—predetermined sequences designed to showcase developmental appropriateness and technical mastery. These young athletes represent the future of competitive yoga and often demonstrate remarkable abilities that rival their adult counterparts.

Evening Session

The day concludes with rigorous judges' deliberation and scoring tabulation. Our internationally certified judging panel includes former champions, master instructors, and technical experts who ensure fair and consistent evaluation using the IUYF standardized scoring system.

Competitors must arrive 90 minutes before their scheduled performance time for registration verification and warm-up. The competition floor features specially designed mats with alignment markers to aid judges in technical evaluation.

Day 3: The Artistic & Rhythmic, Champion of Champions”

Our championship culminates in a spectacular display of yoga's most creative and challenging expressions. The final day celebrates artistic innovation, group synchronization, and elite mastery as we crown our inaugural world champions.

Artistic Yoga Solo

Witness breathtaking individual creative performances where athletes combine traditional asanas with personal artistic expression. Competitors choreograph original routines set to music, demonstrating technical difficulty, flow, and emotional resonance within a 3-5 minute performance.

Rhythmic Yoga Group

Marvel at synchronized Duo & team demonstrations featuring 3-6 practitioners performing in perfect harmony. These routines blend coordination, elegance, and collective energy, showcasing yoga’s power to foster connection.

Champion of Champions

The elite competition where category winners face off in a display of yoga mastery. This challenge requires competitors to demonstrate versatility across multiple yoga disciplines. Only one athlete will earn the prestigious IUYF World Champion title.

Closing Ceremony

Join the emotional culmination of our championship with ceremonial awards and traditional farewell rituals symbolizing global unity. Winners receive medals on an illuminated podium while national flags are displayed.

The final day represents the pinnacle of achievement in competitive yoga. Many routines will showcase never-before-seen combinations and innovative techniques that redefine yogic expression.

Individual Age Categories

Group Competition

Teams of 3-6 participants perform synchronized routines judged on harmony, creativity, and collective energy. Special recognition for cultural elements from home regions.

Artistic Solo

Choreographed routines combining technical mastery with artistic creativity. Evaluated on originality, musicality, and philosophy interpretation.

Champion of Champions

Only the best of the best. Requires medal placement in at least two categories. Winner receives the IUYF Diamond Trophy.

Rhythmic Group Excellence

Dynamic group performances incorporating props, rhythm, and storytelling. Teams must balance yogic principles with creative expression.

Each category uses the IUYF scoring system: Execution (40%), Difficulty (30%), Artistic Impression (20%), Philosophy (10%). Scores are displayed live on digital leaderboards.
